Stars App-titude!
What a neat way to study constellations while the sun is shining! Mrs. Boeren's Liberty High School students were able to discover that for themselves! Using the Stars iPod app on iPod Touches, they drew various constellations, labeling them by name and adding major stars in each constellation. It was so easy to see which constellations are in the northern or southern hemispheres.
iPods are all the Rave!
iPod touches have become a technology tool that has begun to filter into classrooms of Bedford County Public Schools. With the addition of this tool, many teachers might be asking what can I do with an iPod Touch. One of the first resources I use is Tony Vincent's website. He has great how to's, lesson ideas, Apps, etc. Check out his site and see what all the rave is about.
Lifecards For The Touch
Sixth grade students at SRMS recently took a field trip to the D-Day Memorial. They were asked to pick out their favorite thing about this beautiful outdoor museum. This is an example of a postcard that can be created with the Lifecard app, some digital pictures, and lots of creativity.
