Make your own comic strip for free! This site is great for any student. It has been recently updated to add objects and more characters. Students can pick characters, add thought bubbles, and objects to their scences. They pick two, three, or four panels. Once they are done they can email it to you or they can print it out. If you are not able to get to a computer lab then you can go to http://www.makebeliefscomix.com/Printables/ and print out worksheets that student can fill out and color. If you are wondering how you can use this in your classroom visit http://www.makebeliefscomix.com/How-to-Play/Educators/ for ideas from the creator.
Students can write comics in foregin langauges. There are links on the site to translators to assist students in writing in Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Latin, or, Italian. Check out the video below to see how students are using it to learn English.
The 11 ITRT's of Bedford County have launched a Technology Rocks Blog. This is a place where we share tips, tricks, ideas, and recommendations. Feel free to connect with us here. Looking forward to another rockin' good year!
