Postagram

Send your photos as postcards.  Here is a great way to stay in touch with family and friends while away. Create your postcard by adding a message and a photo (from your phone, computer, Instagram or Facebook).  The postcards are printed on glossy paper-99¢ for US delivery and $1.99 for outside the US.  The photo is a 3x3 print that can be taken off the postcard and displayed.
There is also a Postagram App.  http://postagramapp.com/   Check it out!

Many times when you are creating presentations or your students are creating projects, there is a need for images.  It is always best to follow copyright laws and not just copy and paste from a Google search.   Everystockphoto.com is a search engine for pictures that pulls from public domain and Creative Commons images. The site pulls images from many sources and your results give you the information you need to give create to the creator. Finding images just got easier.

PicMonkey

If you loved Picnik (that has shut down), PicMonkey is great replacement tool. It's faster, more powerful, and easy to use.  The terms of use require you to be at least 13 years of age and a human! There is no log in required to edit images and there are so many tools to use.  I found myself spending over an hour just looking at all the editing features.  Not only can you edit the image, but you can add text, clip art, frames and more.
Here is an example of an image I edited in PicMonkey... You need to see what PicMonkey has to offer.

Fun stuff!

Big Huge Labs

Big Huge Labs will allow you to do "Fun Stuff with Your Photos." There are many areas to explore. You can make a magazine cover, motivation posters, CD Covers, trading cards and so much more. This tool is great to support literature circles or content area information. It provides students with opportunities that allow them to share what they understand in a creative way. Students can use a digital camera to capture images to support what they are learning. Student's will be motivated to make trading cards for the states of matter or a magazine about the main character of a novel. Take a look and think outside the box for ways to use this site. Any ideas you wish to share, leave us a comment below.
